Will power washing blast away our mortar?
It will if the operator uses a zero-degree red tip or exceeds 1500 PSI on historic masonry. We do not do that. Pre-1940 structures are soft-washed at under 100 PSI with biocidal cleaners. Modern Portland mortar handles 2000 to 2800 PSI safely when using a 40-degree fan nozzle held at correct distance.
Can you remove heavy white efflorescence?
Yes, using targeted acidic neutralizing rinses that dissolve crystalline mineral salts without pitting the brick face. However, if water intrusion behind the wall is active, salts will reappear until the flashing or roof leak is corrected.
Who is this service not for?
We do not service disintegrating chimneys with missing mortar where loose bricks are unsupported. Those require repointing and structural masonry repair before exterior washing can be conducted safely.
Do you need on-site water connection?
Our trailer carries a buffer holding tank for pressure regulation, but we connect to an exterior outdoor spigot supplying at least 4 gallons per minute. Properties without functioning water supplies must be declared prior to estimate dispatch.
